Great Bay Software
Great Bay Software Overview
Great Bay Software, Inc. was founded in 2004 with the intent of improving the deployment, administration, and management of 802.1X in Enterprise networks. Great Bay’s Beacon Endpoint Profiler has been referred to as the de facto standard for discovering, provisioning, and monitoring non-EAP hosts, also known as non-NAC endpoints and/or non-responsive hosts. As a result, Beacon is leveraged by the industries leading 802.1X, IT Security, and NAC vendors including Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, and Symantec.
In addition to its continuing utility in the 802.1X and NAC market, the wealth of information provided by Beacon has allowed customers to expand the use cases of the product to include compliance and auditing initiatives, network migration planning, and in critical IT Security processes such as incident response. Following customer demand, the Company has also added new products to its portfolio such as Great Bay’s Sponsored Guest Access which provides provisioning of guests and contractors requiring temporary network access, as well as machine provisioning for new or specialized assets.
